Short reviews #1

  • Rohit Bhargava, Non-Obvious

Rating: ♥♥♥

As I have a background in business I often read business/strategy related books to keep up to date. However, lately I’ve found myself more and more upset with my reads because I never feel like they bring anything new, different, or exciting. Rohit’s Non Obvious brought me a new perspective on a subject I wasn’t familiar with and gave me a few specific ideas on forecast and thinking outside the box. Great job.

  • Portia da Costa, How to seduce a billionaire

Rating: ♥

I couldn’t finish this book. I was in no way connected to Jess and/or Ellis, and overall the story was just predictable and flowed in the wrong way. It upsets me to say this because I did anticipate this book, but sometimes the feeling just isn’t there.

  • Joe Pulizzi, Content, INC

Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥+

Brilliant. Innovating. Ground-breaking. If you enjoy business, own a business, are thinking about possibly opening a business, read this book. Now. It’s not a get-rich-quick book, and it’s not about making your first million, but it will show you just how things get done in the word of content marketing and how you can take advantage too.

An ARC was provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
