Review: Secret Surrender by Priscilla West

As soon as I finished the first book in the series (Forbidden Surrender, see review here), I knew I had to know more about Vincent and Kristen’s story.

The first book in the series, Forbidden Surrender, we meet Kristen, a financial analyst at a wealth management firm who tries to convince millionaire, adventurous, bad-boy Vincent Sorenson to be her new client. After the will-they-won’t-they of the first book (spoiler alert: they totally do, and it’s hot), this book starts off with Kirsten and Vincent trying to make their relationship work in spite of his hectic work schedule and both of their pasts.

I enjoyed reading this book, even when at times I felt like the story was starting to become a little predictable.

This story doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not: it’s a sexy, fun, quick summer read you will enjoy if you like hot romances. Priscilla West has a talent for writing hot male leads that make you wish they were real and yours.

If you don’t expect the book to change your life, and you like the genre, you probably won’t be disappointed and should definitely give it a try.

As for me, and since this books ends in a bit of a cliffhanger, I am definitely going to be reading the last book in the series – Beautiful Surrender – to find out what will happen with Kristen and Vincent very soon.
